Jamie Laval is a world-class and classy fiddler who puts on a terrific show. He is a passionate musician whose forte is creating and performing outstanding arrangements of traditional tunes from the Celtic world. Seeing such a high caliber artist perform in the intimate
I can tell you firsthand how wonderful Jamie is as a teacher of the fiddle. He has all aspects of playing thought through and can explain and demonstrate them clearly, while never losing sight of tact and kindness. Owen also has much teaching experience in both rhythm and lead guitar, from beginner to advanced students.
Come take a private lesson tailored specifically to you, and/or the fiddle or guitar workshop. The full-length house concert in the evening is sure to be terrific, and stay afterwards to jam with Jamie and Owen. We’ll even feed you supper if you are here for an afternoon session and the concert. I’ll probably make a hearty stew or casserole and some fresh bread. And cookies!
Reservations are required. It's not necessary to pay in advance, we'll trust you to take care of that when you get here. Don't forget to bring extra for a few CDs. Owen Morrison
Owen Morrison is a first-rate flatpicker whom Jamie recently handpicked to accompany him. I haven’t met him yet, but a little nosing around online elicited an impressive musical track record. He keeps a full schedule playing for contra dances all over the country, and is succeeding at the demanding life of being a full-time musician.
